Blonder Tongue FIBT

 

The FIBT transmitters are EIA 19" wide rack mountable with a height of 1.75 Blonder Tongue FIBT/MIBT Fiber Optic VSB/AM Transmitter - The Blonder Tongue FIBT-S3A and MIBT-S3A Series of transmitters provides a robust system for transferring broadband CATV signals over single mode optical fibers. Both series have a a frequency bandwidth of 45- 860 MHz that accommodates a variety of different modulation formats such as AM/VSB, 8VSB, QAM, QPSK, etc. The Blonder Tongue FIBT/MIBT-S3A series transmitters use high-power, low noise 1310 nm distributed feedback (DFB) laser diodes

The MIBT transmitters utilize the MIRC-12V  rack chassis and MIPS-12C power supply for mounting. Network Solution (PNS) transmitter is part of a robust system for transferring up to 110 channels of VSB/AM modulated signals over a single-mode optical fiber. The system provides 40-870 MHz of usable bandwidth for video signals stacked at 6 MHz intervals. A low loss single-mode optical fiber allows full channel loading to beyond 20 km while maintaining a good carrier-tonoise ratio. The emcore/Force Model 2805 may be used with the Emcore/Force Model 2807 mini-node receiver for use in return path and multiple splitter applications or with the Emcore/Force Model 2808 receiver for basic 110 channel CATV transmission. In all cases, the link provides excellent performance for many demanding applications such as broadband LANs, distance learning, and multiple data services.

The system is also suitable for transferring 80 CATV channels along with 30 digital QAM channels in the upper frequency range. The Emcore/Force Model 2804 provides 40-870 MHz of usable bandwidth for video signals stacked at 6 MHz intervals. A low loss single-mode fiber allows full channel loading to beyond 20 km while maintaining a good carrier-to-noise ratio. A key power lock ensures the transmitter cannot be accidentally turned off, and a blue 7-segment LED readout allows the user to monitor a number of system parameters.

Model OTOT-EM55X 1550nm Low-Cost Externally Modulated optical transmitter is a high performance, dual optical output transmitter for analog and digital CATV signals and digital data. A continuous-wave (CW), 1550nm low RIN, high power, DFB source laser is used in conjunction with a Mach-Zendher lithium niobate electro-optic modulator, where the light is intensity modulated by the RF input signal. This external modulation technique produces a very low chirp signal which allows robust, high quality 1550nm transmission over conventional 1310nm non-dispersion shifted fiber such as SMF-28. The OTOT-EM55X offers fixed SBS suppression of +16.5dBm and bandwidth from 48-870 MHz.

Model OTOT-1000-FQ is a very cost effective indoor 1GHz QAM laser transmitter with an RF passband of 550 to 1,002MHz. The transmitter, including a universal AC power supply, has a footprint of 7.5" x 5.5" x 1.6". The optical output power of the OTOT-1000-10-FQ is +10dBm. Each transmitter has a universal power supply and will operate from 90 to 240VAC at 50 or 60Hz and consumes about 10 Watts.
